Ministries

The Lord Jesus said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

Our Ministries

Our ministry structure is simple. It is focused around the key aspects of Baptist beliefs and practices with discipleship as the key concept and disciple making as the core methodology. Those ministries and programs that we embrace are as follows:

Worship – We gather together each week to give thanks and praise to the one whose mercy is renewed each morning and to consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting meeting together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as we see the Day of Christ’s return drawing near (Hebrews 10:23-24). We also offer a virtual link to our worship.
Christian education – The study of God’s word is key to the growth of every believer in Christ. Our Sunday school begins at 10:00 a.m. and Wednesday night Bible study at 7:00 p.m. Our purpose is to promote individual growth in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18). You can join us virtually.

Prayer – Prayer is key to our success. In keeping with the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ, we participate in and encourage continual prayer (Luke 18:1). Our Prayer ministry is based upon requests of the community of faith and the continual needs of the church members and ministries. Prayer is always a key aspect of our worship and our Weekly prayer meeting occurs on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.

Missions – We have committed ourselves to continuing the work begun by the Lord Jesus. It is our endeavor to promote and provide for continual engagement in fulfillment of the mission to which we have been called. Our organized Mission groups are for all ages and both genders through our Laymen, Women, and Young People mission groups. “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (Matthew 9:37b).

Disciplemaking and Evangelism – The call of and charge for every member is to engage in disciplemaking. Evangelism is an integral part of that process. According to the Resurrected Lord, “As we are going we are to make disciples of all people, baptize them, and teach them to do all that Jesus has taught us” (Matthew 28:19-20). Paul stated that we have become “the ambassadors for Christ and been given the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:18-20). We have been empowered by the Holy Spirit to be witnesses for our Lord (Acts 1:8). Spreading the gospel is the ministry of every member of the church.
Cooperative missions – Because we are unable alone to do all the work of ministry that needs to be done in our world, we have voluntarily united with the Middlewestern District Baptist Association, the Regular Arkansas Baptist Convention, Inc., and the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. for missions and ministry.
